Dr. Elizabeth Stolarz Filipowicz, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant program at Touro University School of Health Sciences. She previously served as Academic Coordinator at the Middletown Campus. With a robust background in clinical education and military service, Dr. Stolarz Filipowicz brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her teaching and leadership roles.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Xavier University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Economics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her academic training is complemented by her service as an officer in the United States Army Reserves Medical Service Corps, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical readiness and leadership under pressure.
At Touro University, Dr. Elizabeth Stolarz Filipowicz has taught several foundational courses within the Physician Assistant curriculum, including Health History and Physical Diagnosis I & II and Essential Diagnostic Modalities and Clinical Procedures. Her instruction focused on the integration of basic science with clinical application, emphasizing diagnostic reasoning, patient communication, and procedural competence.
She currently serves on the Curriculum Development Committee as the Academic Coordinator. In this role, she provides works with all the faculty to provide oversight of the curriculum development. Her passion is to promote student achievement and professional growth. Through her dedication to academic excellence, mentorship, and evidence-based education, she contributes significantly to the preparation of future healthcare professionals committed to compassionate, patient-centered care.
